【New Paper】Discovery of new non-toxic and inexpensive solar cell materials（PRX Energy）
We theoretically discovered a new solar cell using “element mutation" based on selenium of group 16, the first solid-state solar cell material, by first-principles calculation and demonstrated it experimentally! The proposed elemental mutation technique could be applied to alternative systems, allowing the identification of novel potentially stable materials, thus providing a new route to materials design in general.
