【Welcome party】a welcome party for Bae and Jang

We held a welcome party for Assistant Professor Bae (arrived in October) and Project Assistant Professor Jang (arrived in November).

We made “Imoni (taro and meat soup)" for the first time in Kumagai lab!

This is Mr. Bae, who is new to the position. After working as a PD at Tokyo Institute of Technology, he became an assistant professor at Kumagai Lab. His specialty is theoretical calculation of polarons based on first-principles calculations.

This is Dr. Jang, a specially-appointed assistant professor, who will join Kumagai Lab in November after working as a PD at NIMS. His specialty is the search for novel battery materials based on first-principles calculations.
